Community Chat May 19, 2021

There is a bit of a mini-session for shoulder for this chat.

  • Re: someone with hip replacement issues (2 surgeries)
    – what shapes or what approach is advisable?
  • Gentling-down yoga ~ older bodies who cannot do yoga poses from 15 years ago,
  • How important is symmetry in our Avita shapes? (Answer: there is no symmetry in the body, each joint has it’s own story)
  • There is no sense of accomplishment. Neutralize the idea that we can get ‘better’ … let the shapes become informational.
  • How often do we get into these shapes and sustain them long enough to bring about a healing and regenerative process?
  • If a shape is too easy, Jeff would say “we are not getting enough feedback”
  • Healing sensation = a meditation.
  • It’s not just about regaining mobility, It’s not just doing the shape, it’s about the physiology along the way.
  • Avita Yoga can be like a warm heating pad, gentle. Your body will be grateful.
  • In the Avita practice, we are like Johnny Appleseeds, planting seeds of awareness throughout our body.
  • Bringing new mobility into an active life.
  • Practicing before or after exercise.
  • re: The Physiology Workshop – Can bone-spurs diminish with an Avita practice?
  • Talk about the AC joint in the shoulder.
  • Avita asks that you be kindly determined to heal your body.
